Carl is on the bleeding edge of the sustainable construction movement, and one of the few proponents who understands the special challenges faced by green remodelers.  As a former working contractor, Carl works hard to bridge the gap between pure building science and its application in the field, and his hands-on experience gives him a unique perspective on sustainable construction theory and practice.  In the writing and speaking Carl has done with my magazines, he has always been a pleasure to work with.
